Between 1993 and 1996 took an Industrial Design course. After
continued the studies in architecture at Universidade Lusíada.
In 1998, 3rd year of the degree, begun working
part-time at the FTP-arquitectos studio. The 4th year
of the degree was spent in San Sebastián, Spain, integrated in
the exchange program Erasmus.
During the 5th year he continued to work part-time at
the FTP architecture studio. He graduated in 2001.
He worked at the ARX-Portugal studio and after with David
Sinclair architects. Between 2002 and 2008 he worked fulltime at
Arquitrave Arquitectos Associados.
In 2004 he took a post graduation course in Urban Design at the
ISCTE University. In 2005 he interned in Los Angeles at Eric
Owen Moss’s Studio.
In 2007 he spoke at the ENHSA international congress with the
theme of Teaching and Experimenting with Architectural Design.
Soon after he published the resulting article. In July of the
same year he spoke at the ISCTE conferences entitled Urban
Voids, being the article published at ISCTE.
Still in 2007 he won second prize with design for a Gas Station.
He showed virtual architecture works at the Lisbon Trienal.
In the same year he was invited do lecture for 3rd
year students and for Master’s students.
In 2008 he registers the 38n9w brand and begins to work on his
own projects. In the same year he’s invited to show art works at
the Por Amor à Arte gallery in Oporto.
In 2009 he speaks at the conferences City Futures in Madrid and
the ENHSA meeting in Genova. Still in 2009 he finishes he
defends his Master’s Thesis and is attributed the MA title. He
is invited to lecture at the ESAP university for 3rd
and 4th year students of the architecture degree.
His design experience covers building from all scales as well as
urban projects. The most significant buildings were: clinics,
Hotels, Housing and singular houses, schools, office buildings
as well as touristic masterplans.

Fez um curso
profissional de Design Industrial , tendo optado por continuar
os estudos no campo da arquitectura. Começou a trabalhar em
part-time num gabinete de arquitectura ainda no 3º ano. No 4º
estudou em San Sebastián, Espanha, integrado no programa Erasmus
.
Licenciou-se pela Universidade Lusíada de
Lisboa em 2001.
Após finalizar o curso colaborou com o
atelier ARX-Portugal e posteriormente com David
Sinclair-Arquitectos . Entre 2002 e 2008 colaborou com o
gabinete Arquit rave Arquitectos Associados .
Em 2004 fez Pós -Graduação em Desenho Urbano
no ISCTE. Em 2005 trabalhou em Los Angeles com o arquitecto Eric
Owen Mos s . Em 2007 foi orador no congresso internacional ENHSA
com o tema Teaching and Experimenting with Architecture Design e
de seguida publicou o artigo resultante dessapalestra. Em Julho
do mesmo ano foi também orador nas conferências do ISCTE com o
título Vazios Urbanos , tendo sido o artigo publicado na página
do ISCTE.
Ainda em 2007 ganhou o segundo prémio num
concurso apoiado pela Trienal de Arquitectura de Lisboa para uma
estação de Serviço. Expôs trabalhos de arquitectura virtual na
Galeria Fernando Santos em Lisboa numa exposição integrada na
Trienal de Arquitectura. No mesmo ano foi convidado para dar
duas aulas teóricas na Universidade Lusíada, a alunos do 3º ano
e posteriormente a alunos do mestrado.
Em 2008 inicia o trabalho por trás da marca
38n9w. No mesmo ano foi convidado para expor trabalhos de arte
na Galeria Por Amor à Arte no Porto.
Em 2009 é orador nas conferências City
Futures em Madrid e de seguida nas conferências ENHSA em Génova.
Recentemente defendeu a dissertação de Mestrado e foi - lhe
atribuído o grau de Mestre pela Universidade Lusíada. Foi
convidado a dar uma palestra na ESAP para turmas dos 3º e 4º
anos.
A experiência de projecto abrange edifícios de pequena, média
e grande escala assim como projectos de urbanismo. Dos edifícios
mais significantes destacam-se: clínicas , hotéis , edifícios de
habitação colectiva e singular, escolas , edifícios de
escritórios , planos para estâncias turísticas . |
